Tetrick Funeral Home - Elizabethton
Our company history began over 60 years ago with the founding of the North Funeral Home in Elizabethton, Tennessee. When it was sold to Donald W. Tetrick, Sr., it became the first Tetrick Funeral Home. Donald W. Tetrick, Sr. operated the funeral home by himself until 1968, when he was joined in the business by his son, Richard Tetrick.

— Tetrick Funeral Home has taken care of our family for years. I can't imagine trusting my loved ones to anyone else. I cried - and we also talked in general about life, death and our general perspectives, because he has the empathy to see that is what I needed in that moment. His perspective gave me a calmness that I needed at that time.

Needs to review the security of your connection before proceeding. Terry Lyons made my funeral arrangements several years ago at my request. I have decided not to use the homemade casket he made. It was made several years ago and has deteriorated due to dust and storage. I don’t want anyone to have to deal with getting it cleaned and delivered to funeral home. Also, I witnessed a homemade casket used by a family member a few months ago for and it went terribly wrong.

You may purchase flowers through the funeral home or separately, if you wish. This is the cost to purchase a casket from the funeral home. You may choose to purchase a casket online or elsewhere, if you'd wish. This is the fee for the funeral home to come pick up your loved one and bring him/her to the funeral home for preparation. We employed the services of Tetrick's Bluff City chapel for my grandmother's service. The funeral director tasked with arranging the service was short with us and seemed disinterested in providing any actual help. Both me and my family were all displeased with the treatment we received.

I have never had a complaint regarding their services, nor have I ever found any area needing improvements. In my opinion their services are perfect and I would never trust the care of a loved one to anyone else. With Tetrick's you can trust and depend they will meet your needs and provide a funeral your family deserves. Additionally, I highly recommend their pre-planning services. We have used this with several family members, and have found it provides a clear cut way of relieving family members of last minute decisions.
